Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 September 2026
1. About these terms
What these terms cover. They apply to everything Maze Technology Ltd offers online: the main Maze platform at mymaze.ai, including our AI companion Navi; the Maze Method sessions at method.mymaze.ai; and the Redundancy Support Toolkit at toolkit.mymaze.ai. Where a part of the Service works differently, we say so in the section for that part. These terms replace the earlier terms of use published at method.mymaze.ai on 28 April 2026.
These terms set out the rules for using Maze, including the website at mymaze.ai, the Maze platform and our AI companion, Navi (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
The Service is provided by Maze Technology Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16176442, with its registered office at Block D, Part First Floor Morelands, 5-27 Old Street, London, England, EC1V 9HL (“Maze”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your personal data and forms part of these terms.
2. Who can use Maze
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You can access Maze in two ways:
- Employer-sponsored access: your current or former employer has arranged access for you, usually as part of redundancy or career transition support. You do not pay for this access.
- Individual access: you sign up yourself. Individual access is currently free while we test and develop Maze (see section 4).
You do not need an account to use the Redundancy Support Toolkit.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. Tell us straight away at hello@mymaze.ai if you think someone else has accessed your account.
3. Employer-sponsored access
If your employer has arranged your access, the agreement between Maze and your employer sets how long that access lasts. Your employer pays for your access, but your account and what you put into it are yours.
What your employer can see: your employer does not see your individual activity, your CV, your assessment answers, your conversations with Navi or your career plans. We only share aggregated usage information with your employer, grouped so that no individual can be identified.
When sponsored access ends: we will tell you before your employer-sponsored access ends. After that, your account will stay in place but become inactive: you will still be able to log in and view your account and content, but you will not be able to use the Service's features. We will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Free individual access
Individual access to Maze is currently free. We are still testing and developing the Service, so features may change, be added or be removed as we improve it.
Paid features in future. We may introduce paid plans or features in future. If we do, we will tell you in advance and update these terms. You will never be charged unless you have actively agreed to a paid plan.
Ending free access. We may end or change free individual access. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email and tell you what will happen to your account.
Feedback. If you give us feedback or suggestions about Maze, we may use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you. We will not publish feedback in a way that identifies you without your permission.
5. Maze Method sessions
Maze Method at method.mymaze.ai gives you educational video sessions, written material and frameworks created by qualified specialists, covering legal, financial and wellbeing aspects of redundancy and career change. You sign in using a magic link sent to your email address. Keep that link to yourself and do not share it.
The sessions are for your personal, non-commercial use. You are welcome to apply what you learn to your own life, but you may not download, copy or redistribute the videos or written material, republish them on your own platform, blog or social media, or use them commercially without our written permission. The content belongs to Maze or to the experts who contributed it.
6. Redundancy Support Toolkit
The Toolkit at toolkit.mymaze.ai is a free quiz that helps you work out what redundancy support you may be able to access. You do not need an account to use it. Your answers are processed in your browser and turned into a personalised link. If you choose to have your plan emailed to you, we use your email address to send it.
The Toolkit gives general guidance based on the answers you give. It is an estimate, not a decision about what you are legally or financially entitled to. Your actual entitlements depend on your contract, your employer and your circumstances, so please check anything important with your employer, a solicitor, Citizens Advice or the relevant government service.
Because the Toolkit does not need an account, you accept these terms by using it. The rest of these terms apply to the Toolkit as well, including acceptable use, our intellectual property, our responsibility to you, and governing law.
7. Navi, our AI companion
Navi is an AI companion designed to offer emotional support and career guidance while you go through redundancy or a career change. Navi can listen, help you think things through, and suggest practical next steps.
What Navi is not. Navi is an AI, not a person. It is not a therapist, counsellor, doctor or crisis service, and it does not replace professional support. Navi cannot assess or diagnose mental health conditions, and it cannot respond to emergencies.
AI can get things wrong. Navi and other AI features generate responses automatically. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Please use your own judgement and check anything important before you rely on it.
Your conversations. Navi conversations are currently session-based and not kept after your session ends. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail and will be updated if it changes.
8. Guidance, not professional advice
Maze gives general career transition guidance, including skills matching, assessments, job and career suggestions, and redundancy support resources. It is not legal, financial, tax, employment-law, medical or regulated careers advice. For decisions about your redundancy terms, settlement agreements, pensions, benefits or finances, please speak to a qualified professional.
In particular:
- Legal content is not legal advice. For your own situation, speak to a qualified solicitor or a service such as Citizens Advice.
- Financial content is not financial advice. For your own situation, speak to a regulated financial adviser.
- Wellbeing content, including Navi, is not therapy or medical advice. If you are struggling, please contact your GP or a mental health professional.
We cannot guarantee any particular outcome, such as finding a new job, getting an interview or reaching a specific salary.
9. Your content
You may add content to Maze, including your CV and other documents, your profile and career history, your assessment answers and your messages to Navi (“Your Content”).
- You own it. You keep ownership of Your Content.
- Our permission to use it. You give us permission to store, process and analyse Your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you. This includes using our sub-processors, such as our hosting and AI providers, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Improving Maze. We only use Your Content to improve the Service in anonymised or aggregated form, meaning it cannot be used to identify you.
- Your responsibility. You confirm that you have the right to upload Your Content. You should not upload other people's personal data or confidential information belonging to your employer or anyone else.
10. Acceptable use
When using Maze, you must not:
- break the law, or use the Service for fraud or to harm anyone;
- share your account or let anyone else use it;
- upload anything unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- try to access other users' accounts or data, or parts of the Service you are not allowed to use;
- introduce viruses or harmful code, or disrupt the Service;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- try to get Navi or other AI features to produce harmful content, or to reveal how they work internally.
11. Our intellectual property
We, our licensors and our contributing experts own the Service and everything in it (apart from Your Content), including the software, design, text, assessments, algorithms, branding and the name “Maze”. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own career transition while your account is active. You may keep copies of outputs created for you, such as reports or CV suggestions, for your personal use.
12. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep Maze available and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause it for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We may also change, add or remove features, particularly while we are testing and developing the Service.
13. Suspending or closing accounts
You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@mymaze.ai. We plan to add an option to do this from your account settings.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect other users or the Service. Unless it would be unlawful or unsafe, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the issue first.
Inactive accounts. If your account has had no activity for 1 year, we will delete it along with Your Content. We will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Our responsibility to you
If we do not meet these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or for business losses, since the Service is for personal use.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app before any significant change takes effect. If you do not agree with the change, you can close your account before it applies.
16. Complaints and disputes
If you have a problem with Maze, please contact us at hello@mymaze.ai and we will try to resolve it quickly. We aim to respond within 2 working days.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
17. General
- If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will still apply.
- If we delay enforcing these terms, we can still enforce them later.
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, for example if Maze is acquired. If we do, your rights will not be reduced. You may not transfer your rights to anyone else.
- Only you and Maze have rights under these terms. Your employer is not a party to them.
